I knew I was going to like Katie and Zach because they came to me through another 2020 Dakota Hersey Bride, Lindsay. They’ve known each other for awhile but really bonded over their love of dog training –– Katie owns The Jacksonville Dog Wizard! If you need training for your pup, she is your girl!

Katie and Zach will be tying the knot at her grandmother’s house on the intercoastal waterway next October and I know it’s going to be beautifullll. She’s planning on lots of white flowers and greenery and you know that’s one of my favorite classic trends!

They live at the beach and Zach’s family owns a surf shop, so they spend a LOT of time by the water. We decided to do something a little different for their engagement session and wandered around historic downtown Wilmington, NC. It was definitely a chilly day but the sun was shining and you couldn’t ask for more in the winter!

I know their wedding day is going to be a ton of fun because they are SO natural together. I was constantly giving posing prompts and saying “this one is a little harder so it may take some adjusting” and they would get it on the first try! YES! I love the way Zach makes Katie giggle and we can get her real laugh 🙂
