I knew I was going to love Brittany and PJ the moment she texted me photos of the dresses she was going to bring to her engagement session. She pulled out all the stops and let me tell you, I am OBSESSED with the result!!!

Even though I had to forgive them for leaving the pups at home (a puppy golden doodle and a 1.5 year old husky…I mean come on!!!), I loved getting to spend time with them on the beach of Fort Fisher, NC!

Per usual, we had some scheduling issues for the weather but we ended up with the most beautiful day –– bright and sunny and just a light breeze. We couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect!

Even though we did get attacked by bugs towards the end (you’re a trooper, PJ) we had a beautiful sunset and were able to talk about all of the things they have planned for their big day in October.

I am SO excited because it’s going to be so beautiful –– I know because 1) they showed photos and 2) their style is everything I love. (Hint: LOTS of flowers) It’s going to be an amazing day!!!

Brittany and PJ changed into their second outfit –– this gorgeous white dress and a blue pinstripe button down. I LOVE this color combination!!!

It was such a good mix for the white sand and gray rocks on the water!

We headed down to the end of the Fort Fisher island and honestly, the no-seem-ums were TERRIBLE. PJ was being attacked and I was so thankful for his patience!!! I would not have taken us there had I known there would be so many bugs but I think the photos ended up being worth it!! (Hopefully PJ agrees, haha!)

I love this area because the sun sets right over the water and you can see for miles. There’s such a good mix of greenery, water, and sunny glow!

Okay, this may be my favorite part of the whole engagement session… Brittany bought this gorgeous, long, light blue dress and the sunset came right on time.
