I knew Kenzie and John were my people when we both misjudged the traffic from Wilmington to Fort Fisher and even though we were technically late, they got out of the car completely relaxed and excited to get started. They’re SO easy going and fully in love with each other…making it a ton of fun to photograph them!

Fun fact: They have a secret handshake!!!

Kenzie and John are high school sweethearts and will be getting married this November at Malachi Meadows. They love being on the boat but they also love fall so November is going to be perfect for their big day –– especially since October is super busy with BOTH of their birthdays (3 days apart!!!) and the anniversary of John asking Kenzie to be his partner for life.

They both love living in Wilmington so naturally we had to their engagements near the ocean. I love Fort Fisher for all of the variety the location offers with winding trees, big skylines, rocks, and blue waves. We had the most gorgeous sunset and I’m so thankful it’s spring again! Kenzie and John were total naturals and I love that they kept playing and goofing around with each other because it makes the photos so much more “them.”
