This engagement session has been long awaited because I’ve known Sierra since she was in middle school! She has been following along on my journey for YEARS (definitely one of the OGs) and it never quite worked out for her to get in front of my camera…but now she’s a Dakota Hersey BRIDE!!!

She and Ben met in 2018 and their first date was an instant connection. I love watching them together. Ben is all about her and I LOVE the way they laugh together.

Ben even surprised Sierra at the beginning of their session by upgrading her engagement ring!!! She had a gorgeous vintage ring as her engagement ring but Ben had promised to replace it with a traditional diamond ring. So now she has two beautiful rings!

For their engagement photos, they made a date night out of it to come to Wilmington. We chose to go to Fort Fisher, NC to take advantage of the marina trees, rocks, and beach. It was a little cloudy but the haze made for even more of a magical evening!

I am so excited for their wedding day in April. I know it’s going to be so sweet and sentimental. For now, enjoy their engagement photos by the beach!
