When Nikki reached out to me about being her wedding photographer, I knew this was going to be a really, really fun wedding. Nikki is extremely organized and had everything about her wedding planned well in advance –– of course she had help from her awesome planner and coordinator, Heather (highly recommend her for your day!!). With the planning between all three of us made the day of full of nothing but fun!
Nikki and Tyler are the sweetest couple who love their families and friends, and it shows how much the people in their life care about them too. Their mornings were spent getting ready with the people they hold closest, listening to music and hanging out around the venue. Nikki’s bridesmaids are some of the most friendly women I have ever met and I was grateful that they made my morning as easy as they did!
Nikki and Tyler were able to fit in so many memorable moments before the ceremony even started, which doesn’t always get to happen! They wrote each other love letters paired with gifts (a Michael Kors purse for her and a set of golf clubs for him!), had the sweetest first look with her dad and brother, and met for a quick blindfolded prayer with each other. These moments are so fun to participate in and look back on before all of the craziness of the day really sets in.
The fun was just getting started! After their personal and romantic ceremony, we spent time photographing their family and bridal party (SO much fun!!!), then moved on to the party!
Now, I love the food and the cake, but the dancing is one of my favorite parts of a wedding reception. I was so happy Nikki and Tyler’s guests felt the same way! I don’t think the dance floor was empty at all the entire night, which makes my job really fun!
You can tell what great people Nikki and Tyler are and how much they are loved by the people who they are surrounded by. I honestly felt like I was part of their family the entire day –– talking with guests, making jokes with the guys, being helped by her sweet mom, hearing all of the personal connections they were able to work into their day. It was a beautiful day that is going to lead to a beautiful marriage.
Congratulations again, Nikki and Tyler, and thank you again for inviting me on your journey!!
