Brace yourself…this is a LONG post. It was SO hard to narrow down!!!!

I met Ashley a little over a year ago when she moved to Surf City and was looking to find a friends in the photography community. We got to know each other over coffee and lunch dates, and when she called to ask me to be her photographer I was so HONORED. I know her and Philippe’s day was going to be beautiful because when you shoot weddings every weekend you know how to assemble a dream vendor team to execute a vision!

When I arrived at their wedding location I was floored at how beautiful it was!! Philippe’s family home is stunning and it was like it was built for this type of event – I couldn’t get over the “bridal suite” or the landscaping. Ugh, just gorgeous.

One of the biggest themes of the day was how Ashley and Philippe have surrounded themselves with friends who adore them. Ashley’s bridesmaids were so attentive, making sure that every detail was perfect and that Ashley had everything that she needed – if the planning team with Wedding Co. of Williamsburg hadn’t already taken care of it! Philippe’s groomsmen had me cracking up, and even with the jokes, his best man spoke for everyone when he shared his gratefulness for Philippe’s impact on their lives.

I love when the wedding day is planned with specific priorities in mind and space to experience the day as it happens. We had plenty of time for Ashley and Philippe to be fully present for their first look, sharing personal vows, and exchange gifts, before taking beautiful portraits!
