I met Katherine and Cory last year when Cory reached out to me to photograph his proposal to Katherine. I secretly hoped they would reach out to me when they officially started planning and I am so excited to have them as a #dakotaherseycouple!!!

For their engagement session, they wanted to include both of their colleges (NC State University and Meredith University) because they are still HUGE football fans and live near downtown Raleigh, NC!

They love to tailgate for football games and had the cutest jerseys made with their wedding date! Their pup Nacho even joined in on the fun with his own Wolfpack bandana.

It was HOT and BRIGHT outside, but we made it work…even though I was sweating more than I ever have in my life! I’m VERY impressed that Cory and Katherine can make a 100 degree day looks THIS good!!!

Next we headed to Meredith University’s campus for our next stop…and AIR CONDITIONING! We’ve never been so thankful for that, and the clouds that rolled in.

This campus is so beautiful and classic –– it was the perfect backdrop for Katherine and Cory’s sweet outfits. I love a girl in a tulle skirt AND fun shoes!

I’m also SUPER impressed with Cory wearing that suit…it was literally 100 degrees outside!

We couldn’t go to Meredith’s campus without going to NC State’s!! I love the Bell Tower because it’s white, has clean lines, and looks super classy!

I told Katherine that I thought it was fun because it kind of looks like they’re in Washington D.C. or somewhere else with gorgeous monuments! I could have stayed in this spot all evening.

Now to our last outfit –– something casual and simple!!! Katherine is just so cute and I love her style!

The light was coming through the trees in the most beautiful way. I am thankful for finding spots that that are pretty even though it’s on the busiest street in Raleigh!
