Oh, the power of Facebook… I am so thankful for it because it brought me Lindsay and Devin! Lindsay was looking for a wedding photographer, I messaged her, we went on an ice dream date, and we were a match made in heaven!
They are getting married this February at St. Thomas Preservation Hall in downtown Wilmington, NC and I could not be more excited!!!
For their engagement photos, we knew we wanted to do something a little different. We originally were going to try to work Britt’s Donuts into it but they closed for the season!
Instead we hopped on the ferry to Bald Head Island and used the gorgeous Old Baldy Lighthouse that is surrounded by big oak trees covered in spanish moss –– a southern, coastal dream!
Of course we had to bring the pups with us, which allowed me to not only meet them but also Lindsay’s mom and sister who are SO sweet!
There are no cars allowed on Bald Head Island but we could walk to everything we needed so we started at the Lighthouse and then made our way across the bridge to the marina. It was a little toasty outside but overall gorgeous weather!
I will definitely be going back here!
Here are some of my favorites from their Bald Head Island engagement session 🙂
We couldn’t forget the pups!!! Presley and Walker did a fabulous job as models!
Okay but how cute are they?!?!
For their second outfit, Lindsay and Devin dressed up in a flowy maxi dress and dress pants. I love the colors in these!!!
The sun went down justttt enough for us to use this little building next to the lighthouse and the post office across the street for some more Spanish moss!
Oh these locations!!! This bridge is just for the golf carts on the island but you could see the lighthouse peeking out over the trees. I love that we were able to get some fall colors too!
We ended at the marina for the last little bit of light. Lindsay changed into this gorgeous teal maxi dress, which was the perfect pop of color with the business of the boats and docks.
I love the motion, colors, and these two together!!!
