I turned 26 on October 6th! If you know me, you know my birthday is a BIG deal to me. Of course it’s become less of a celebration every year just because that’s what happens when you get old and all of your friends have jobs, kids, and lives in other cities.

This year was still extremely special because I got to celebrate with all of my favorite people, eating really good food, and laying in bed eating a cupcake…I know, the best right?

I’m really big on writing things down and documenting different seasons of life so I can look back on them later to remember all of the little things that happened and see how much things have changed.

So this video is honestly a little more for me but there’s no harm in sharing with all of you too.

25 was a huge year for me –– for the most obvious reason, I left my marketing agency career and took my business full time! This was a huge step for me, and has been full of constant challenges.

But honestly, I’m so thankful for the opportunity and for the time that it came. Even with being responsible for literally every part of my business, I’ve so enjoyed being able put that effort into myself. 

The business and this past year have taught me a lot about myself –– things I would have thought I would’ve known before I was 26 but I think it takes time. One of those things is being less stressed about this unwritten timeline we tend to put on ourselves.

I had an idea of what 26 would look like, and my life looks nothing like that…BUT I wouldn’t give up what I have now for anything. I’m okay with where I’m at and what I’m doing, and I’m constantly working towards living more in the “now” than in the timeline.

25 also consisted of lots of learning, meeting my photography idol Katelyn James, successfully snowboarding down a mountain, standing up for myself to people much older than me, going to the beach more than I’ve ever gone before, starting a Youtube channel, and finally decorating my room.

A challenging year, but such a good one.

26 is going to be another big one –– not only for the business but for myself. I don’t necessarily have anything planned except for a busy spring wedding season BUT I know it’s going to be full of unexpected, wonderful things.

I want to try new things, pour more into my friendships, continue figuring out what fires me up. I’ve already started working on my business planning for 2020 and I ordered my 2020 powersheets from Cultivate what matters so I will share more about goals and direction for 2020.

For now I’m just going to keep living in 26!!!
