I have been waiting for this wedding all year!!! Jordan is one of my Alpha Chi Omega sisters and when she asked me to be her photographer, I was beside myself with excitement.

Her and Mike are high school sweethearts so this day has been long awaited by many! In the days leading up to the wedding, Jordan was posting photos of them from prom with her in a white dress. It was so crazy to see them so young and then compare that to them as a bride and groom!!

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. It was cool and crisp outside but the sun with shining bright and The Parlour at Mann’s Chapel was surrounded by golden leaves. It was absolutely stunning…but not as beautiful as Jordan and her girls!

This wedding was also really fun for me because many of the bridesmaids were also my sisters in college. I love when weddings become mini reunions for me! That also makes for the best dancing photos!

There were so many sweet moments throughout the day, but one of my favorites was watching Jordan open her gift from Mike. He had the lyrics to their first song “Yours” by Russel Dickerson printed onto a canvas. She teared up immediately because that moment made it so real. Everyone in the room was taking in that the ceremony would start in only a few minutes and they would officially be together forever.

The ceremony was followed by delicious food and sweet toasts. I love hearing toasts at weddings because I get to learn so much about my couples and am brought into their closest circle.

Jordan started the reception with her own toast to Mike, pointing out that she’d always hoped to marry someone who resembled her dad. So not only did she find a law enforcement officer named Mike (just like her dad, ha!) but she found a man that loves her like her dad loves her mom.

Cue the tears!!!
