Okay, I just have to say…this is one of my favorite engagement sessions of all time. The colors, the sunlight, their outfits…the way everything worked together is just SO pretty to me. Sometimes choosing to shoot on the beach in the bright sun can be really challenging but when it creates magic like this, I am validated in why I love it so much!
Tatiana and Eric are also so cute together and fun to work with!!! I tell couples all of the time not to be nervous about posing and looking good because as long as they listen to the directions and have fun together, we can make them look natural. It’s all about getting comfortable with each other in front of the camera. Granted, these two have known each other since high school so no wonder they were so natural together!!
Fun fact: Eric proposed to Tatiana in a helicopter ride!!!
They are both huge beach people and love being on a boat, so naturally we had to do their engagements near the water. We chose to go to Fort Fisher and Carolina Beach State Park so we could have a ton of variety with trees, sand, rocks, and greenery. These two locations are so close to each other and offer such different backdrops that I love when we can work in both.
Tatiana and Eric went for a lighter, more neutral color scheme for the beach portion of their shoot and then switched into something a little more “warm” and fall for the park. Honestly it couldn’t have been more perfect!!! If you need styling tips, ask them all the questions!
They’ll be getting married this April at Nuese Breeze Wedding Venue on the water. If I had this much fun during their engagement photos I know their wedding is going to be one for the books…and I’m going to have the HARDEST time choosing favorites for their blog post!
