I was SO excited to be asked to photograph these two young, wonderful ladies. I have known both of them for a very long time as we grew up together with our moms all being in the school system together. I specifically remember teaching kindergarten Charleigh her multiplication facts after school, complete with use of the overhead projector, worksheets, and homework. Bless her heart for letting me live my short dream of being a teacher like my mom. Hey, I think because of those lessons I can take some credit for the incredibly smart college woman she is now, right?
Sara approached me with the idea of having a best friend senior photo session as a graduation present for Charleigh. During high school, Sara attended my alma mater, Rosewood High School, while Charleigh left the Rosewood community to attend the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, NC. Because of this, they did not have many photos together from their last two years in high school. They are both now attending North Carolina State University and luckily have these beautiful photographs to decorate their dorm room!!
This session was so fun as we attempted to capture the spirit of their friendship in photographs! We ventured around downtown Goldsboro, in JoJo’s, a local coffee shop, and some local monuments. I love these two ladies and the friendship they share. I know they are both bound for greatness and their journey to NC State is just the next step in achieving that!
Thank you for asking me to be your photographer, Sara and Charleigh! May your first year and college career at NCSU be more amazing than you could imagine and may your friendship only grow stronger!!
