I am so lucky that I get to capture the day for couples who I just know are absolutely meant to be with each other. Marriages are so special and the start to a family, so when I meet two people like Kenzie and John I am so thankful I get to serve people who I know are all in for the journey together.

Kenzie and John chose to have a more intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends, which I absolutely loved because we structured their day in a way that truly allowed them to enjoy the day with every single guest. That doesn’t always happen at weddings!

The day started with Kenzie getting ready with her sisters, best friends, and mom before descending down the staircase like a princess for them all to see her fully ready for the first time. What a moment!

Then with just her and John, we went outside for them to have their first look. John turned around and gasped at how breath-taking she was. I love the way they giggled with each other while they wiped away their tears. They chose to use that time to share personal vows…where in true “true love” fashion, they wrote them separately but promised each other some of the same exact things, almost word for word.

My favorite part of their ceremony was right before the first kiss – they have a secret handshake between the two of them and they did it before their kiss. It was SO them and SO cute!!!

The rest of the night was spent twirling around the dance floor with drinks and desserts!! It was an absolutely beautiful start to the rest of their lives together.

Kenzie and John, thank you so much for asking me to be there for you! I wish you all the love in the future!!!
