Kasey and Noah’s wedding day was filled with sentimental pieces –– from getting ready in Kasey’s childhood home, to the ceremony site being her dad’s farm, to their first act as husband and wife being washing each other’s feet.
It’s always such an honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day, and even more special when they make sure you feel like family.
The day started out beautifully, with an easy and supportive bridal party and gorgeous sun.
Their ceremony was sweet and thoughtful, and after their first kiss they chose to kneel down and wash each other’s feet as a symbol of their vow to serve one another within their marriage. The clouds were rolling in but they held off juuuuust long enough for us to finish the ceremony, get our family photos, and then the skies opened up!
Thankfully Kasey and Noah kept the reason for the day at the center and weren’t too bothered by the rain – instead they took that extra time to greet all of their guests and get their party started! When we had a moment of reprieve from the rain, we quickly got bridal party photos and newly-wed portraits. I actually love the ones of Noah carrying Kasey’s dress in the sprinkles the most!
It’s my personal goal every wedding to leave with an image that I feel incredibly proud of – whether that’s because I tried something new or I pushed through challenges to create something beautiful. Kasey and Noah’s day was no different, and despite the rain I absolutely LOVE the portraits we got…and there’s a lot to choose from!
Kasey and Noah, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day (and spending almost two weeks straight with me between engagements, bridals, and the wedding!). Your day was beautiful and so representative of your love. I will see you next year for anniversary photos!!! 🙂
