My last wedding of 2022 did not disappoint!!! Kristin and Sean’s day was filled with special touches specific to them and their love story – from their favors, to their gifts, to what they were wearing.
From getting to know Kristin and Sean through their engagement, they are both incredibly thoughtful. Their family and community mean the world to them and they made sure to include them in all aspects of their day, like…
Kristin is a special education teacher and included a few of her students as flower children in their ceremony and I loved watching them celebrate on the dance floor with their moms!
It’s a tradition in Sean’s family that all of the women in his family have had a gold “K” on their bouquets and Sean wore a matching gold “K” on his tie from his granddad.
During toasts, Kristin honored all of the servicemen who had recently returned from deployment by asking them to stand.
Getting to know my couples and hearing their stories are what make wedding days special, and listening to Kristin and Sean’s vows to each other was the truest form of their hearts for each other. Sean shared how he used to believe his purpose was within his career. To protect the country…until he met Kristin and he learned that his purpose was within her. Protecting and loving her.
My absolute FAVORITE part of their day was how they incorporated their proposal story into their day. Kristin has been a dancer her whole life with the Goldsboro Ballet and when they performed The Nutcracker Sean orchestrated a plan to get Kristin up on stage following their performance. On stage, in front of all of her dance company, with snow falling and the classic music playing in the background, he used a nutcracker to pop the question.
As favors, Sean’s mom handcrafted nutcracker ornaments for guests to take home to remember the night. I was obsessed!!!! It was SO hard to choose one!!! It was just another example of thoughtfulness and every detail relating back to Kristin and Sean’s love story.
Kristin and Sean, thank you for asking me to be a part of your story too!!! I am so honored. Congratulations!
A huge thank you to the vendors who made this day beautiful!!!
