I met Caley and Ed in college because they were friends with my best friend/roommate, Casey. I actually got my computer wet in the rain and Ed was the one who came to the rescue! Now he’s our go-to for all of our technology needs! Caley and Ed are one of the smartest couples I’ve ever met and they are are always SO willing to help you with whatever you need. That’s why I am so excited to be photographing their wedding this September at Shell Island!

Because they love the beach and are even getting married on the beach this summer, of course we decided to go to Wrightsville Beach, NC for their engagements. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous to head out on the beach in the bright sun in the middle of the day. However, thanks to Katelyn James I am IN LOVE with shooting in the daylight!! It makes everything so light and bright and the colors of their outfits popped beautifully.

We walked around in the sand, found the prettiest freshly planted flowers, and then ended our session by the boat dock. It was the perfect backdrop for Caley’s bright Lilly dresses and shorts and reflected the fun, beachy vibes they will have on their big day.

September can’t get here soon enough!!
