Katelyn is a senior at Charles B. Aycock and a member of my #dakotaherseyseniors 2019 spokesmodel team!!

This girl is full of spunk and honestly has one of the best “model” faces that I’ve ever seen (which I am super jealous over because I DO NOT have one haha). I love spending time around her because she is always smiling and positive.

She and her mom came to Wilmington for her senior photos, which was extra special because her mom and dad spent a lot of time here early in their marriage! Our day was full of reminiscing and taking photos of Katelyn in front of spots that her mom remembers from those days. I loved hearing about how much downtown has changed…and how it hasn’t!

We walked alllll over downtown to find a bunch of locations that provided plenty of variety for Katelyn’s gallery –– from fountains, to colorful houses, to the “coffee shop” vibe, to something down by the water. Downtown Wilmington did not disappoint! (Though it never does!)

All of my seniors know that I am a HUGE foodie, especially when it comes to local restaurants in Wilmington. Finding a place to eat after the session is almost as important to me as picking out the shoot locations! I was very happy when Katelyn and her mom took my recommendation to go to Dock Street Oyster Bar because it is absolutely my favorite seafood restaurant downtown.
