I knew I was going to love working with Anna Grace and her mom, Ginny, when Ginny called me asking for outfit recommendations to make sure we had exactly what we needed for her downtown Wilmington, NC session.
We wanted to make sure we had tons of color and variety. Even though Anna has spent her whole life in Wilmington, her mom’s roots are in Wayne County so there are a lot of people that we all know! (Including tons of my past seniors!!).
That means they stopped by Mimi’s Boutique in downtown Goldsboro the weekend before her session and picked up the cutest white romper and earrings!
Anna Grace is so sweet and definitely a natural in front of the camera!! I usually tell my seniors it takes a few minutes for us to warm up and really find our groove…Anna was giving me all of the different looks without me even having to direct!! That’s a product of a scrap-bookin’ mama –– which I know because my brother and I are the same way!
For Anna’s session we headed to downtown Wilmington and went to all of my favorite spots, plus some new ones! There’s always something that I hadn’t seen before and I love that my seniors don’t mind running across streets and posing next to construction sites haha.
OH, she also had a blowout from SET Blowout Bar before her session and they gave her perfect loose curls that she could play with and fluff throughout the session. Thank you SET!!!
Outfit Details:
Here are my favorites from her session!
We started down by the water and the marina which was the perfect nautical backdrop for her navy striped top! I love the glowy sun down here 🙂
Next she switched into this red, patterned jumper from Bevello. SO CUTE! Her statement earrings are from Mimi’s Boutique!
I love when my girls bring different layers because it lets us have an extra prop AND a way to switch up the outfit to make it look a little different in every photo!
This is the white romper from Mimi’s Boutique –– perfect for graduation! Coastal Christian Academy’s colors are red and black, so her earrings were the perfect pop of color with a classic white.
I haven’t used this little park downtown yet but I love it for all of the flowers, trees, and brick! You would probably never know there was a pretty busy highway on the other side!
You know I always want to end on a parking deck and this is my favorite one! It was a little windy but the way her yellow dress worked with the white and teal was perfection.
She said she felt like the old Taylor Swift and I couldn’t agree more!!!
To end our session, we ran down to the riverwalk to get the iconic Wilmington bridge in the background, per mama’s request 🙂 We’re thankful she was willing to drive us all over, drop us off, and then pick us back up when we were ready for the next spot!
