It’s always such a huge honor when another photographer asks me to take their photos. We can be very particular with what we like because we know how it’s all created, so I don’t take it lightly when someone else who takes gorgeous photos likes my work!!

Alex is an Orlando-based senior and wedding photographer and honestly I wished she lived closer because we would definitely be hanging out all the time!! I felt like I clicked with her and her fiance Daniel right away, which always makes shoots go a lot smoother.

They came to Wilmington / Carolina Beach, NC to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with family before Daniel deploys. We’re all from military backgrounds, though Alex and Daniel definitely lived more of the “lifestyle” than I did! They’re high school sweethearts that built a strong foundation over the past few years and it’s clear they’re going to have the sweetest life together.

For their engagements, we started in downtown Wilmington, NC for some white steps, palm trees, and something a little more “city.” I’m glad we started as early as we did because we beat ALL of the MDW traffic when we headed to Carolina Beach State Park for the second half of the shoot.

Daniel didn’t grow up by the ocean so of course his request was to be mainly by the water, and those are definitely some of my favorites!!!

Now that we’re officially friends in real life and not just Instagram, I can’t wait to keep following along with them through wedding planning and starting this new journey!
