I LOVED this engagement session with Liz and Jesse –– yes, I love all of my engagement sessions BUT I really felt like we were able to get super comfortable with each other and Jesse was doing poses that I didn’t even have to direct him on! That’s a huge win for me!!!
Liz and I were Alpha Chi Omega sisters in college and I was so excited to add another sister as one of my brides!
Her and Jesse are so sweet together. They met in downtown Wilmington a few years ago and from hearing the story, I would say it was love at first sight.
They met at the Husk, Jesse asked her to lunch the next day, and then had to go to a training for 2 weeks and couldn’t talk at all! Of course Liz waited and when he was able to talk with her, the rest was history.
We focused their engagement photos around all of the places in Wilmington that were special to them –– including The Husk where they met and The Riverwalk where they had their first kiss!
My favorite part of the engagement session was actually when it started to sprinkle on us (UGH!) and we had to hid in the car for a few minute until it passed, but Jesse told me the whole process of how he picked out Liz’s ring. He was so particular and intentional with his choice and it is gorgeous!
I don’t know TOO too much about rings so I definitely felt educated, haha.
I can’t wait for their wedding this August but for now, here are my favorites of their engagement photos in downtown Wilmington!
This is the bar where they met!! We stopped in for a drink (a beer for Jesse and vodka cranberry for Liz) to recreate the night they met!
Isn’t that ring GORGEOUS?!? He did a good job!
This is one of my favorite spots because I don’t get to use magnolia trees a lot. They just photograph so dark! This spot let us get all of the “southern charm,” the magnolia trees, and the white from the house!!
This is the place where they had their first kiss!!!
