Spring is officially here!!!! And the flowers are flowering!!!! Emma and Dom will be getting married in January 2024 at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral, an absolutely gorgeous church in Raleigh, NC. They are both alumni of NC State (where they met as freshman!) so of course we started their engagement session on campus.
They really wanted the “look” of NCSU without feeling like they were retaking their engagement photos and I think we really nailed it. I love college campuses because they are curated to look beautiful year round, but we also really lucked out with these blooming Bradford pear trees!!! Dom was the real MVP too when I asked him to sneakily hold a branch in one of the poses so they could look surrounded by blooms. We love a groom who’s willing to do what’s needed for the shot!
After campus we headed to my second favorite Raleigh, NC location, the NC Museum of Art. The sun shining through the willow tree over the rolling hills was PERFECTION. It was very chilly and Emma was a champion in her spring outfit so we worked quickly and created magic. I absolutely adore the combination of the light, the greens, Emma’s eyes and hair, and the way Dom looks at her.
We know it’s a good shoot when I’m trying to pick out with photo I’m going to frame for MY office!
Emma and Dom – thank you for asking me to join you for this journey! I can’t wait for your winter wedding day!
