I know that I’m instantly going to connect with a couple with their inquiry questionnaire is literally a BOOK, full of all of the best parts of their story. I’m a details person myself so anytime someone else loves to include all of the little bits and pieces, I know we’re meant to be.

Maddie and Austin met at a grab-a-date at ECU and Austin’s first thought was “wow, she is gorgeous”…and that was that! Now after 4.5 years, they’ve built a life they love, spend their weekends traveling together, and staying as active as they can. They’re huge sports fans (ECU, Panthers, and Cubs) –– they even have their dogs named Wrigley and Olsen. Austin proposed to Maddie in downtown Charleston on a gazebo with a hidden photographer and their families hiding nearby. Now they are planning a dream wedding at The Pavilion at Carriage Farm this August!

Being around them is like being with old friends. We met in person for the first time on the streets of downtown and immediately jumped into conversation for the next two hours. We chose to do their engagement photos between downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. Thankfully there were still some azaleas in bloom!

When we went to Wrightsville Beach, there was the MOST gorgeous sunset. I love the blue waters of Wrightsville because they look like a distant tropical location at sunset!

I can’t wait for their wedding this summer and see them on the dance floor! They know I love a good party and I have high expectations for my ECU alums…I’m positive they will far exceed anything I have in mind!
