I am SO EXCITED for this wedding!!!! When Jordan reached out to me about being her photographer, I freaked out.
We were Alpha Chi Omega sisters in college and we share the same birthday, so being a huge part of her wedding day is so special to me. Especially when she’s marrying the absolute love of her life who is equally as amazing as she is.
For their engagement session, Jordan wanted to have photos done at the spot that her and Mike have shared so many memories…including their high school prom photos AND their actual engagement!
I loved listening to Mike talk about the day he asked Jordan to marry him (with a gorgeous, sparkly ring that I’m in love with). He proposed to her underneath the water-tower at Tobacco Road in Durham, NC and he was so stressed about getting to his spot without getting stopped by anyone.
Thankfully on the night he popped the question there weren’t nearly as many people there as there were for their engagement session! When we showed up there was a Durham Bulls baseball game starting AND prom…aka people EVERYWHERE.
Thankfully I was able to work around the crowds, find great light, AND capture this location that is so special to them. I loved all of the running water through the whole place, the train, and the flowers. So beautiful!
My favorite spot was actually where we ended –– on the parking deck! From up there we were able to get the water-tower in the background and have amazing light (especially since it was a pretty cloudy day!).
I cannot WAIT for this wedding in November. Jordan is going to make the most beautiful bride and Mike will also be so handsome 🙂 He makes her genuinely laugh in all of there photos and it is so sweet.
Here are my favorites from their Tobacco Road engagement session!
