I am SO excited to share these engagement photos with you because the story behind them is so wild!

Carree reached out to me about 2 weeks ago inquiring about her upcoming wedding…in SEPTEMBER!

Well it turns out they’re tying the knot even SOONER…this WEEKEND!!!

Carree’s dad is currently stationed overseas and won’t be back in the States for a year or so, so she and Reagan have decided to not wait and go ahead and share this special moment with those who are closest to them.

I rarely have weekend dates available this short notice, but I just happened to have this Saturday free, and after talking with Carree about her day I just knew this was meant to be!! That is the phrase we keep using to describe this whole adventure because things just keep falling into place.

With my brides and grooms, I gift an engagement session when they choose to work with me for their wedding. This allows me to get to know them 1-1, teach them all of the posing, and get them comfortable in front of the camera –– which makes the wedding day SO much smoother!

I wasn’t sure if we’d be able to fit engagement photos in before the big day (especially since we only had a WEEK!)…but Carree and Reagan definitely wanted to make it happen –– talk about a #dakotaherseycouple!!

They came to Wilmington for the day and we captured the most gorgeous photos in the local park and on Wrightsville Beach. They are naturals in front of the camera, so now I am even more excited for their wedding!
