I actually met Casey and Cody through a Facebook group –– one of her photographer friends posted about them looking for a coastal North Carolina photographer and I threw my name out there hoping maybe I’d be a fit for their engagement photos.
Casey said she looked at a few of the suggestions but knew she wanted to work with me…which is SO sweet!!! They decided to drive to Wilmington for a beachy and natural engagement session and I have never been so thankful for the power of social media!
We spent the whole session talking about how they met, their wedding plans, their sweet goldendoodle, and how Cody managed to record his proposal when it was just the two of them!
He told her it would be easier to get good pictures of their trip if they just recorded a video and then took screenshots of it. So he had her set it up multiple times throughout their walk and saved the fountain for the last stop…and they have it on video now!! So cute!
I just know their North Georgia wedding is going to be gorgeous. Casey has a dream of a woodland fairy, mystical theme complete with all the whimsical colors and possibly a waterfall!!!
Their engagement session was a dream with all of the glowy light, colorful flowers, and perfect weather (even if it was a little toasty!!). Here are my favorites from their Wrightsville Beach engagement photos 🙂
Casey and Cody wanted to include their wands from Harry Potter World (Casey is Slytherin and Cody is Gryffindor!). I thought it was a cute touch to make it more “them”!
Cody actually proposed to Casey by a fountain (and even managed to trick her into getting it on video!), so I loved that we were able to incorporate the fountain!
Now to the beach! Even though Cody is more of a mountain guy, Casey LOVES the beach and wanted to capture this moment in their lives where they are living by the ocean.
