Rachael, one of my lifelong best friends, reached out to me with an awesome Christmas gift idea for her mom. She wanted a photo of herself, her sister Charlotte…and their two pups who just so happen to hate sitting still. I came over to her house one evening for a quick session (the dogs have a very short attention span!) on a beautiful November afternoon with a golden sunset illuminating the fall leaves.
Daisy (the little black lab) was much more cooperative, likely because she is easier to hold down, while Howard (the big yellow lab) had brief moments of calmness when his ball was involved. We had to work quickly and luckily we got the perfect shot before the pups found their way into the pool when we weren’t watching!
I love these simple family photos and her mom did too! I even think the “outtakes” from the session of them trying to wrangle the dogs are as beautiful as the Kornegay sisters themselves. Enjoy!
…and maybe ponder how the special people in your life would love similar photos of you 😉
