Morgan reached out to me to photograph her son, Mason, to celebrate him turning 6 months old! We met up on her family’s land with a pond, green grass, and a big tree beside farmer’s fields–a southern summer dream.

Baby blues, books, and a sweet little boy.

Boy, was it a hot July evening in North Carolina. Mason (who learned to sit just 3 days before his session) was so sweet and happy the entire time–a pure joy to photograph. Honestly, I was very impressed by how long he tolerated us! Thankfully, he stayed focused on the grass (his first time in it!) and all of the books and toys brought by mom and dad. I love when people bring props or special items to their sessions. It makes everything so much more personal and unique.

It was a joy being able to capture the love between this little family as they played. Mason was the perfect model for my first baby session, so maybe you’ll be seeing more sessions like this soon!
