Oh, Anna. I am SO thankful that she joined my 2019 spokesmodel team because I don’t think I would have laughed nearly as much without her! She is truly one of a kind –– AND she brings a basket of makeup to every single shoot. It’s like her trademark!

I was excited to spend some 1-1 time with her for her individual session because I knew it was going to be so fun and different. My seniors know I will help them with every aspect of posing, but it’s perfectly okay (and encouraged!) to do some of your own things.

Anna always takes my poses and then gives me at least 4 variations with each one, whether it’s changing her face or giving me a laugh or twisting her shoulders. It’s great for me because I just have to say “YES! Keep going!” and we end up with a FULL gallery of photos!!

My goal is for every senior that gets in front of my camera to feel that comfortable!

For her session, Anna wanted really beachy with bright colors (of course, what else would a #dakotaherseysenior want?). I took her to my favorite “Charleston” neighborhood and then to Wrightsville Beach. It’s hard to pick my favorite set of photos because they are all so beautiful!

Here’s what I narrowed it down too…it was a tough job!

Gosh, I can’t get enough of Anna’s smile! She is just so stinkin’ cute.

I also love photographing Anna because she always gives me the best faces!! She’s not ever afraid to be silly, which made her session that much more fun!

I love this “Charleston” neighborhood with all of their white and palm trees!

Then we discovered what may be one of my new favorite spots!!! The way the sun hits this white gazebo is GORGEOUS!

On to the beach! Anna wanted a really beachy session so we used a bunch of different boat docks!

This was Anna’s idea!!! So cute! The water was actually FREEZING but I love the way it turned out!

Of course we had to get some with mama!!

Lastly we headed to the actual beach. I thought it was going to be tough to beat what we had so far but these may just be my favorites of all time!

SHE’S AN ACTUAL MODEL. I can’t get over it.

If only we all looked this good with wind-blown hair!! If you are doing photos on the beach, you have to be okay with things getting a little crazy…but I love the way it looks!
