First session of 2021…with the beautiful Ja’Niyah!!! I was honestly a little nervous coming into this shoot because I hadn’t been behind the camera for almost 3.5 weeks. Every time I take a long break I’m worried that it’ll take some time for me to “get back into my groove” but Niyah is such a natural anyways that it didn’t take long for me to be inspired and create some magic!!!

Niyah is stunning on the outside and is just as beautiful, if not more, on the inside. I am so lucky to have her on my team representing my business!! She is a senior at Charles B Aycock High School and will be attending High Point University next year to pursue a degree in Exercise Science. I know that she is destined for great things just in the way she interacts with those around her. She has such a gentle, loving personality –– and not to mention, a FIERCE “model” face!

For her photos, she requested a “city” style and downtown Wilmington delivered! It’s not very often that I shoot in the cooler months or in the heart of downtown Wilmington, so it was the perfect start off to my year. We chose a variety of locations ranging from the feel of Washington D.C. to Miami…who knew we had all of this right in town!

It’s REALLY hard for me to choose a favorite from these photos, so I shared a ton and will let you decide!!!
