Kaitlin and Ben – maybe one of my favorite couples I’ve ever worked with.

I love the way they love each other and I just know if we lived closer to each other that we’d be getting dinner at least once a month (I’m still figuring out how to make that happen either way!). Their wedding day was much anticipated and everything about it was just beautiful in every way.

Kaitlin as a bride is SO easy to work with – she decided on her priorities early on, built a team of vendors to make her vision happen, and then just let the day happen as it would. I’m convinced this is the best way to make your wedding day one of the best days of your life (and I’m thankful so many of my couples use this approach!).

The day started off as it always does…popping a bottle of champagne and then tearing up as everyone saw Kaitlin transform into a bride. She held it together until her nana helped put on the final touches and then it started to feel real!

Kaitlin and Ben’s first look wasn’t much different. When Ben turned around to see his wife he looked like a kid on Christmas. They chose to read their personal vows privately to each other before joining their bridal party on the riverwalk.

Their ceremony was sweet and sentimental, with Kaitlin’s grandfather as the officiant. We breezed through family photos, newlywed portraits, and a yummy dinner from 128 South before we joined everyone on the dance floor.

Kaitlin and Ben walked out for their introduction, dropped it LOW, and everyone was cheering…then we realized Ben had totally ripped his pants!!!! The bridesmaids and I were almost in tears laughing so hard. Ben kept it a secret until his dance with his mom where he slowly turned around on the dance floor and all of the guests started to be let in on the joke. Thankfully a groomsman had an extra pair of pants!!

The night was SO much fun (though that’s a guarantee with Active DJ). I was so impressed with her bridesmaids all day, making sure Kaitlin had everything she needed, including drinks all night long! This bridal party and guest list was keeping me laughing constantly…I felt like a guest!!!

Kaitlin and Ben, you two are such a power couple and I cannot wait to see how you impact the world. I am so thankful to have been there for this part of your journey!!! Love you two!!!
