Okay, you’re engaged…WOO HOO!!!!
The first questions you are probably being asked are:
Then you run to your Pinterest board to look at everything you’ve been casually pinning over the years and…it’s a lot. There are SO many trends to navigate through before you find one that really works for you.
Colors are hard to work with because you may love a color now and in a few years, it will be outdated and you’ll have moved on to something else –– which is why we’re all happy that we didn’t get married using the styles from our Pinterest board freshman year of college, HA.
If your goal is to have a classic and timeless feel, you are going to LOVE the wedding trend that is becoming increasingly more popular this year.
That is white and greenery (with a potential small pop of color!).
I love this style because it is romantic and ages so well. Not only is it simple and chic, but you can also achieve it with a smaller budget.
Greenery is actually a lot less expensive than flowers AND fills up a lot more space. This allows you want to use the additional money saved on bigger, more expensive flowers (hello peonies!!!) or invest towards something more meaningful.
Recently I went to a styled shoot (at Katelyn James’ LAST workshop!) with a white and green theme, with hints of teal, lavender, and blush. I’ll be honest, I was a little disappointed because I was hoping to work with something really bright and trendy.
BUT when I was editing these photos I realized how timeless they were… These photos will never get old. In 20 years, when we look back we likely won’t have any idea what year they were taken in and the focus will be on how beautiful and classic they both look.
What do you think? Are you in love with the white and greenery trend? Or do you favor the bold and trendy?
Here are my favorites from the styled shoot for inspiration!!! 🙂
