I have been looking forward to this day for a long time – not only because Rylee and Chase are such a beautiful couple and Rylee and her mom planned such a gorgeous day, but also because it was my first real wedding at The Cornealius Properties in Rosewood, NC!!! I literally watched this venue be built from the ground up and have been amazed at how the Neal’s have created a romantic dream tucked away in the woods (right down from where I grew up!).
We truthfully couldn’t have asked for a better June day. I feel like it’s been raining randomly throughout the day, but on Rylee and Chase’s day it was overcast skies with just the right amount of light.
As Rylee was getting dressed in the Honeymoon house, her puppy Lola (who has very similar coloring to Dune!) snuck in and curled up right on the train of her dress. It was absolutely adorable and I love how she just wanted to be close to Rylee.
While Rylee and Chase included a lot of southern wedding traditions throughout their day, my favorite thing they added was going back into the chapel once the ceremony was done and releasing all of their guests. Row by row, they walked to let them up and were able to greet and hug all of their guests. This was SO sweet as a way to not only thank them for coming but also ensured they said hello to every single person that came – AND it only took about 5 minutes, the same amount of time it would have taken for them to head to the reception anyways.
It was so unique and thoughtful. I’m hoping this becomes more of a trend!
The rest of the night was a dancing and mingling party, with food and desserts everywhere you turned (thanks Funky Fresh!). DJ Keith Waller kept the dance floor popping, and included special sentimental dances with Rylee and her grandad and a private last dance.
Rylee and Chase, congratulations!!! I know you waited SO long for this day (they’re MIDDLE school sweethearts!) and it was an absolute dream. I hope you are enjoying yourselves on your honeymoon and I can’t wait to see you for anniversary photos in the future!!
