I have been looking forward to this wedding for a over a year. Taylor and Chandler are absolute dream couple to work with and their vision for their wedding day was so fun to photograph. This was also my first lead wedding at Wrightsville Manor, a gorgeous venue just minutes from my home that I have been dying to work at!
Not a second of the day disappointed. I am very blessed to work with couples who are all really fun to be around and are easy to work with (thank goodness), but Taylor is in her own category of kindness. She is constantly making sure people feel heard and appreciated. Chandler is warm and inviting. It’s totally understandable for you to want your wedding day to be all about you, but I love working with couples who go out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
Aside from the day being absolutely beautiful (though I would expect nothing less from Salt Harbor Designs), it was also incredibly emotional and sentimental. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a couple cry and be so speechless during a first look. It’s been a long time coming for these two (8 years!!) so watching them finally experience this moment was priceless.
They chose to read their vows to each other during their first look, which is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. Originally we were trying to decide where they wanted to fit their letters to each other into the day, and I will always recommend doing them during the first look. Drew from 24k Cinema and I have very strong opinions about this from a video perspective – I love when the audio is them reading their words in their own voice. Just imagine how special it will be to hear those words in the future.
The entire day was structured to be easy-going and intentional, with opportunities to take margarita breaks, cool off from the sun, and even visit with guests at the cocktail hour right before the reception started. This is exactly what I wish for every single one of my couples!
With Starbucks’ coffee in hand (hand-delivered by the girls at Salt Harbor Designs), we got their reception started with delicious taco and pasta stations from Spoonfed Kitchen, a maid of honor speech that brought me to tears, and a dance floor that filled up immediately. The energy was high and there were multiple dance battles thanks to their ring bearer, Banks.
It was the perfect day.
Chandler and Taylor, I am so thankful we found each other at that open house last year!! Capturing your love has been a highlight of my year and I can’t wait for anniversary margs in the future!!! Congratulations!
