2024 is off to a beautiful start! I actually really love winter weddings. They have to start and end a little earlier (which I won’t lie, getting to bed on time is really nice!), but there’s something about everyone bundled up, crisp daylight, and fireplaces burning at a reception…plus the groomsmen complain a LOT less since they aren’t sweating haha.

Emma and Dom are an absolute dream to work with – organized and communicative about what they want but trusting of their vendors to make it happen. In the morning I knew it would be entirely way too cold to put Emma and her girls outside, but thanks to two venues with ample natural light and a planning team that helped seamlessly move to a plan B, we were able to get some of my favorite wedding photos ever!!!

They have personalities that you can’t help but be drawn to. They have a love for each other that feels so calm and secure, letting the day be an easy celebration. It’s the type of love that makes my job so fun because I get to capture them simply as they are.

The Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral is one of the most gorgeous churches you’ll ever enter. The organ and singers echo through the halls while the light pours in. If anyone is getting married here, I am 1000% in to come back anytime!!

After a beautiful, reverent ceremony, we loaded the bridal party up on the trolley to head to The Park Alumni Center to celebrate like only true NC State University grads can. First dinner, cake, and funny and sentimental toasts by Emma and Dom’s brothers, and then the dance floor was poppin’!!!
