Fall has finally arrived!!!! The coast doesn’t change a ton during the seasons (which usually I’m grateful for because it allows me to shoot almost year round), so when I get a chance to go to places with colorful trees and falling leaves my heart is so full.

Hannah and Cole planned their wedding to be around the changing leaves and cooler temps and they got exactly that! I love the two of them for so many reasons –– they are old souls at heart and you can tell they are drawn to each other with a quiet but vibrant love. I love that they created a day that was perfectly them –– simple with sentimental touches, fun and colorful while grounded in tradition, and full of gorgeous trees, fields, and country.

They chose to do a private first look to start their day off with the thing that really mattered…being together. The look on Cole’s face when he saw Hannah for the first time was so sweet –– he’s been waiting 8 whole years for this moment! I love that they were able to take a few minutes to just be together with no one around or whisking them off to the next place (I do my best to capture this moment while not being intrusive!! One of the benefits of having a first look because you won’t get this moment otherwise!).

The rest of the night was filled with friends and family sharing stories and memories about Hannah and Cole’s relationship. I was lucky enough to be seated at a table with guests who were long time friends of the two of them. I loved hearing stories about Hannah’s spunky younger self and how the two of them had been building a life together already for so many years. It wasn’t perfect and involved long distance and different stages of life, but they were able to grow independently and together, which will be their strongest foundation for marriage. I am so thankful to have been a part of their story!!

Hannah + Cole, thank you so much for choosing me to capture your day! Spending time with your family and friends was so good to my soul. You have such a wonderful family and community surrounding you. I cannot wait to see all that the future holds for you two! Love you!

Hannah and Cole ended their night with a private last dance. It was SO sweet and I LOVE these photos of them in the room by themselves!!
