This is my last wedding of the spring/summer season (I’m getting a few week break before jumping back in in mid-August), and WOW, what a way to go out!!! Lauren and William are the absolute sweetest, and after being with them for engagements, bridals, and a beautiful wedding day, I truly feel like I’m part of the family.

There were so many parts of their day that stood out to me so I’ll do my best to share my favorites.

First, Lauren’s parents were married on the same date 28 years prior, in the same church. Watching Lauren’s dad turn around and see his little girl standing there as a bride in the same sanctuary that he married her mom in was incredibly special. He gave the sweetest toast before their first dance, welcoming all of their guests to the reception, and then they danced their anniversary away!

Speaking of first looks, Lauren managed to keep her gown a secret from everyone but her mom and her sister, so her first look with her bridesmaids was extra fun! Her flower girl was brought to tears from seeing her! (Then so were all of us when we saw her reaction) They were wearing matching dresses with big bows…so sweet!!!

While we had a LOT to get done on this day, working with Lauren and Will is always so fun. They took big family photos and bridal party photos in stride, and when we got to the golf course and had some one on one time with them — it was magic!

Their reception was a cocktail style reception, so the band started as soon as the special dances were over, which was great because this crowd LOVED to dance!!!! Plus, when the band took their break they had a DJ that kept the party going. Its so fun for me as a photographer to have guests who are having fun and ask to have their photos taken (I LOVE group photos). These are some of my favorite reception photos ever!

Lauren and William, thank you for inviting me into your family and having me capture your wedding day! I can’t wait for anniversaries and family vacation to come 😉 Congratulations!!
