Hutton House Wedding in Minneapolis, MN | Allie and Robbie

September 1, 2018

You may remember Allie and Robbie from their photo session turned proposal turned engagement party from last year. Allie was my partner in crime at the agency we led and quickly became one of my life long best friends. When she asked me to join her side on the biggest day of her life, I without question said “ABSOLUTELY!”

I was able to go out to Minnesota for the first time for Allie’s bachelorette party a month before the wedding where I met everyone in the bridal party. So coming back for the wedding felt like a reunion –– except this time I was able to bring Kyle (my boyfriend and the other piece to our agency dream team) so he could meet everyone too! We came a few days early so we could get some quality time with A & R and attend the rehearsal dinner.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Robbie’s family at a local park and was so cute! All of the flowers were cut from their family garden (and used for the wedding too!) and there was plenty of wine to go around.

Mrs. Kathy, Allie’s mom, ended the dinner with a lovely toast, a few gifts from their own wedding day, and introducing everyone in attendance to each other so it felt like a big family dinner. Robbie then gave the sweetest speech about Allie that left everyone in tears.

The next morning we headed to Allie’s parent’s to start our day and from there it was a blast! Allie and Robbie’s photographers, Rubinski Works, were amazing and capture the day beautifully. They posted sneak peeks on their Facebook and I am SO excited to see the fully gallery! If you are in Minnesota, please check them out if you have a wedding coming up!!

This was honestly the best wedding I’ve ever attended. It was relaxing, exciting, and full of love. Allie and Robbie did a first look so we had ALL of the photos done before the wedding! (Can you say more time to partaaaayyyy!) Allie and Robbie wrote their own vows and I cried the entire ceremony…then we danced the night away –– I’m pretty sure Allie didn’t leave the dance floor all night, which is exactly where we would choose to spend all of our time anyways!

I am so grateful to be a part of this beautiful day and to have two friends that model such unconditional love. I cannot wait to watch the two of you grow old together and I can’t wait to continue being the third wheel in your relationship. You are truly perfect for each other. I love you!

These two people might be my favorite two people on the planet. We have worked countless hours together, laughed, argued, celebrated, cried, ate the same lunch over and over, and became the best friends you could be.

Love these humans.

Robbie gave the sweetest speech about/to Allie during the rehearsal dinner. He talked about the countless numbers of letters he has written to her and how he knew he was always writing them to his future wife. He actually wrote his vows on the back of one of the letters!

Mrs. Kathy also gave the best speech at the rehearsal dinner and introduced every single person there so we all felt like one big family!

We were SO excited to get “bridal” Starbucks cups! Allie is the best bride and picked up everyone’s coffee for our early morning prep time.

Kat did Allie’s make up for her engagement photos so naturally her skills were needed for the wedding day! I am so thankful I was introduced to Kat through Allie. She is one of the funniest and selfless people ever (and she does flawless makeup!!).

Allie chose Shiann from Salon Oriana to do our hair and she was PHENOMENAL. I ended up doing my own hair but after watching all of the girls with their final styles, I was so jealous that I didn’t have her working on my hair too!!

Allie’s mom pulled out some photos from when Allie was younger dancing at a wedding with her dad and her own wedding photo album! I love going through all of the photos and seeing how much capturing the day has changed. Allie looks SO much like Mrs. Kathy on her wedding day!

This is Allie’s childhood pup, Skipper. So sweet!

Michelle was the Maid of Honor and I don’t think Allie could’ve chosen a better person for this position! Michelle constantly went out of her way to make sure the experience was perfect for Allie. I am also thankful I met her through Allie because I think if we all lived closer, this would be a girl group to be reckoned with!

The Hutton House bridal suite was out of a DREAM. Seriously. All of the white, bright pops of color, long mirrors, and plenty of space. The groom’s suite was equally amazing –– stocked with a gaming system, a sound system, and a fridge for all the beer you could want!

*Real* pre-wedding activities: twerking + drinking 😉

These are my favorite shots of the day!!! Just getting ready for Allie’s photographer to arrive and finish with the details!

More Beyonce, of course.

I love this girl more than she even knows.

I mean, just LOOK at this space!!!!

All of the flowers were grown and hand-picked out of Robbie’s family’s garden. The tree pallets were cut by Allie’s dad from their Wisconsin lake house and their house at home in Minnesota.

These rock table settings were how everyone marked their spots at dinner! So cute since Robbie is a geologist and is constantly asked about his rock knowledge.

Anna and Zach set up the outside ceremony space. They are such an awesome couple (with the cutest german shepard, Dex), who I actually met in Wilmington when Allie and Robbie lived here!

Allie and Robbie bought their niece (who lives in Spain!!) a rose gold necklace to match the theme of the wedding. Allie and Robbie both have rose gold rings that are absolutely beautiful.

Wedding day goals.

Allie and Robbie’s photographer/videographer team, Rubinski Works, were so AMAZING! They captured the day beautifully and I almost cried when I saw the sneak peeks! If you are in Minnesota, they are an excellent choice for your wedding day!

I truly love wedding days, especially helping the bride get ready. Putting in the veil and lacing up the dress is something that takes a little skill and I am grateful every time I get to step in to make the bride feel and look beautiful. Getting to do it for my best friend is 10000x better.

Reality vs. Imagination 🙂

Allie, you are so beautiful.

AND THEN THEY WERE MARRIED AND WE DRANK ALL THE DRINKS.

To enjoy the actual day, I put my camera down, popped some champagne, and helped my best friend marry the love of her life. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos with the very special people who attended (looking at you, Chris and Nia) or with my handsome date (Kyle!), but I did eat really good food and dance my booty off with my Minnesota friends!

Kyle and I hopped on a plane the next morning around 8am while Allie and Robbie headed off to Colorado for their honeymoon. I am so thankful I was able to be a part of this day. I love you, Allie and Robbie!!!
