Neuse Breeze is starting become my favorite place now that I’m spending so many of my weekends there!!! I won’t be back until the fall but I’m so thankful that I was able to spend my last summer wedding with Megan and Corey. They are so much fun and I love couples who I can just be real with.
I do have to tell you…it did rain on their wedding day. Like a whole summer storm…BUT guess what? We still got over 300 portraits of the two of them!!!!! That is the beauty of a first look!!!! We started the morning off with the groomsmen who I LOVED joking around with. Then the rain pouredddd, but we were able to quickly make up time by getting Megan dressed, a sweet first look, bridal party, and bridesmaids and were back on track! I also want to thank their bridal party and family for being so awesome as we got back on track.
They had so many special moments throughout the day, with Corey’s dad officiating the wedding, Megan and Corey reading personal vows, and Corey giving the best thank you toast to all of their guests. They had people travel in from all over the country, even as far as California to be a part of their day. It was so evident that even though they are starting their lives and family in North Carolina that they are fully supported and loved by their community. I loved that they were able to share such a beautiful representation of what NC has to offer with everyone!
The night ended with fun dances, a little surprise during the garter toss (scroll to see Corey get iced by his bride!!! LOL), and Megan and Corey sending me off with the most thoughtful words about how I was included when Corey said in his speech that everyone at the wedding was a Boothby now. I’m so lucky to be a part of this family too!!
Megan and Corey, thank you so much for inviting me to capture this huge moment for you. I can’t wait to watch your family grow and see your roots get even stronger here in North Carolina. Let’s have a beach day soon!! Love you!
