I barely have words to describe this day.

I knew it was going to be gorgeous when I visited Katie’s parents’ house for her bridals a few weeks before the wedding, but…just wow.

I’ve known Katie since high school and she has always been one of the biggest supporters of my business. When Jordan asked me to photograph his proposal to her, I was so excited to be a part of the start of their journey.

Then Katie asked me to photograph her wedding. What an absolute blessing!!!

Katie has always had the dream of getting married in her parent’s front yard. I have never seen an area that has the light pouring through the trees and flowers the way their house does. Complete with a horse, donkeys, gazebos, and gorgeous gardens, it was perfect.

Mrs. Regina, Katie’s mom, is the owner of Pinewood Florist and completely out-did herself with her arrangements. The whole house was covered in flowers.

Jordan seeing Katie for the first time was one of everyone’s favorite parts of the day. This is always an emotional moment but seeing all of the happy tears and sweet expressions of everyone in attendance was so sweet.

To add to the magic of the day, after Katie and Jordan tied their knot to signify the binding of three cords, the horse Beau came galloping across the field. He had seen the guests filter in all morning but it was so funny to see the look on his face almost say “hey, what’s going on here?!”

I was told that he would be very nosey about the whole event but it was so funny that it actually happened! When Katie and Jordan shared their first kiss, he galloped away again.

Pure magic.

The rest of the evening was filled with laughing, dancing, good barbecue, and FIREWORKS.

Last year at Nick and Jenny’s wedding (Katie’s brother), her parents surprised them with NC State mascots Mr. and Mrs. Wuf. I had an idea that there would also be a surprise for Katie and Jordan and the fireworks were such an awesome addition to the night!!!

Katie and Jordan, you are the sweetest and I am so thankful to be a part of every step in your journey. Congratulations!!!

This is when Beau came galloping across the field!!! He just wanted to be a part of the festivities 🙂 I love that he wanted some attention too!

THIS is how you kiss your bride at the end of the aisle!!!! They’re officially MARRIED!!!!

I LOVE THIS TRADITION. Katie and Jordan buried an upside down bottle of bourbon to keep the rain away on their wedding day…and it definitely worked!!!

After they dug it back up, everyone in the bridal party and family took a pull from the bottle to celebrate. I jumped in for just a little celebrating too!! 🙂
