Korrie and Juston… I just love them. Their day was so incredibly important to them and I was going to do everything in my power to make their dreams a reality! We started the day smoothly with gorgeous getting ready photos, beautiful bridesmaids, and an intimate, emotional first look with private vows. Juston seeing Korrie for the first time was so sweet – she just kept saying “do you like the dress?!” and he was speechless! After they read their vows to each other, Juston heard giggling behind him only to see all of the bridesmaids and Korrie’s mom squeezed in the window sneaking a peek of their moment. I love the way they all support and cheer on their love.
After we were able to photograph the full bridal party and groomsmen too, we were looking great heading into the ceremony…then came the rain. Ugh! I was confident that it would blow over quickly (or at least eventually) and we made the stressful decision to hold off on the ceremony so we could have the vision Korrie and Juston had planned so long for.
With a flexible and amazing vendor team and accommodating guests, we made it happen!!! The rain subsided, we all grabbed towels to dry off the chairs, and their ceremony had the most beautiful sunny glow coming through the trees. It was magical! I’m so thankful Korrie and Juston placed their trust in me to use their time wisely – we spent our time waiting for the rain to knock out all of their family photos so we could spend time after the ceremony getting portraits AND keep our timeline right on track! I will ALWAYS do my best to prioritize your main desires while being realistic and keeping you calm.
It was all worth it when I got to show Korrie and her mom the back of my camera of her GORGEOUS ceremony photos!!!
Speaking of trust…Korrie let me know there was a field next to the venue that she thought would be good for photos…little did she know I would 100% be asking her and Juston to walk through the wheat field. We did not think about the possibility of snakes but thankfully we didn’t run into any!
Y’all. These are some of my favorite portraits EVER. That GLOW!!!! Angelica of Angelica Therese Films was an absolutely amazing counterpart with getting all of the creative coverage of their day. I highly recommend her!!
We ended the night dancing and laughing with their favorite people, including The Powell Home’s horses that Juston was in love with hehe. Of course we got his “Peaky Blinders” inspired photo!
Korrie and Juston, I am so thankful this process brought us together and that I was able to be there on your special day. Congratulations, and I can’t wait to see how your marriage flourishes!
