April 3, 2021 (4.3.21) seemed to be the most popular date for weddings this year. I am so thankful I was able to spend it with Deanna and Zack! They are truly one of the most genuine couples I’ve ever met. I love the way they play and love each other, and they make me laugh SO much. I told Weston before the day to expect a lot of laughs and jokes and that was one of my favorite parts about working with them.
But with all of the laughter, they also love so deeply. Watching Zack open his gift from Dee through teary eyes and then Dee’s dad not being able to hold it together when he saw her for the first time was so incredibly sweet.
My favorite part of the day was hearing them read their vows. It’s so clear how well they know each other because they both included so many of the same things in their vows even though they wrote them separately. They were filled with a mixture of inside jokes and intimate promises. So perfectly themselves.
I also very much enjoyed their bridal party and how fun they were! We were able to get so many gorgeous photos quickly and with no shortage of poking fun at each other and tears (you guess which side was doing which). I’m not surprised that Zack and Deanna have surrounded themselves with such awesome people.
Deanna and Zack, thank you so much for asking me to play a role in your big day! I am so thankful for your friendship that has come from this journey and I cannot wait to see all of the milestones you’ll reach in the future. I love you and congratulations!!

Zack earned his spot as my favorite groom when he requested we use our good light for a photo with the three of us!!!! I almost always forget so the fact that he remembered when it was still pretty outside just melted my heart!
Every wedding we add optional sunset portraits to the timeline just in case we have time to sneak out for a few portraits. Zack and Deanna really wanted to prioritize these because the sunset is so pretty at Lane Tree! We left for just a few minutes but WOW. So worth it!!!
Back to the party!!!
