It’s a given that people will say nice things about you on your wedding day, but I’ve never heard SO many people have so many kind words to say about Madison and Austin, their impacts on people’s lives, and how their relationship is going to make the world a better place.
Austin and Madison met in college at East Carolina University and it was fate…which you know their whole day was filled with “Purple…GOLD!” I loved hearing their friends and family recount different stories from throughout their lives as they were growing up that spoke to their individual character and then what it was like once they found each other. Whether it was Austin’s willingness to take care of Maddie and anyone who is important to her to Madison always lighting up a room and bringing the party, it’s clear that they are meant to be.
There are a lot of special moments throughout the day, but the bride getting dressed is always a little emotional. Madison’s mom helped button up the last few buttons on her dress and before she gave her the final “you’re ready” hug, she started to tear up. One of my favorite photos is Madison looking back at her mom and you can see how much they favor along with the love in their eyes.
The day was a whirlwind in the sun, so we got as much done as possible during the cocktail hour so we could get to the party…but I so appreciated Madison and Austin agreeing to sneak away for a few to get some sunset, glowy portraits. These are my absolute FAVORITES! Thankfully Madison had changed into her cowboy boots so trekking through the field to the horse pastures was no problem. She grew up around horses so it was only natural that we would try to get them in the photos! While they weren’t *crazy* about getting near us, watching them run through the pastures while Madison and Austin stood admiring each other was pure magic!
After all of the gorgeous photos were taken, toasts were said, cake was cut, and the bourbon they buried was dug up, everyone PARTIED!!!! As the night came to a close, Maddie and Austin chose to do a private last dance while their guests set up for their exit. These are some of my favorite images because they capture the moment so sweetly – the room empty, tables filled with empty glasses, the venue staff starting to break down, and the newly-weds spinning around the dance floor, lost in their own world together.
Madison and Austin, thank you SO much for asking me to join you for this magical day! You two are such a joy to be around and I cannot wait for puppy playdates and beach days in the future!!! Congratulations!!!!
