It is a really special day when I get to photograph any of my couples’ weddings…but it’s even more special when they are my friends. I met Paige through her sister-in-law Sara (who I’ve done brand photos for multiple times and just all around adore!). We clicked immediately and even though I’m sad the wedding is over I am looking forward to spending more time with them!
Paige and David are the perfect combination of easy-going, ambition, and deep love for each other and the people around them. I knew their wedding day was going to be fun because they made sure to have a mix of structure but space to enjoy the day (plus a vendor team that absolutely knocked it out of the park).
The morning started out with Paige getting ready with her bridesmaids (who are incredibly fun) and getting teary-eyed as Paige’s mom zipped up her dress, Sara and Rae buckled her shoes, and she saw her dad for the first time. Paige is a total daddy’s girl and it was so sweet to see their relationship all day, from first looks, to dances, to touching toasts.
The ceremony was given by Paige’s childhood chaplain, and David (who is typically very composed) couldn’t help but tear up when he saw Paige for the first time – I don’t blame him, she is gorgeous!
The night was spent with the two of them attached at the hip, greeting all of their guests and spinning around on the dance floor. Paige surprised David with his own cowboy hat (a homage to his Texan roots) and a haku lei to represent her growing up in Hawaii. I loved the special touches!
I’m really thankful to work with couples like Paige and David, who even on their big day, are still taking Weston and I into consideration, making sure that we’re taken care of. It’s truly a testament to who they are as individuals and also as a couple. I can’t wait to see all that their marriage brings to the world (including more puppies!!).
