The best part of my job is finding couples who bring so much joy to my life. Wedding days are long and physical, but they are made totally worth it when you have couples who are so grateful and treat you with so much kindness. Taylor and Johnny are the epitome of that. I absolutely loved serving them!
Not only were they so fun to work with, they are absolutely obsessed with each other. They’ve been together for over 11 years, since they were seniors in high school. I know they’re going to have the best life together because even after all of that time, with growing and changing, they both still look at each other like they’re the only ones in the room.
The day was a roller coaster of emotions, from crying when Taylor put her dress on and read her letter from Johnny, to goofing around with the bridal party after they spilled beer all over Johnny (should have been a sign for the rest of the night LOL). We had gorgeous weather and gorgeous light for a sweet and simple ceremony so we could get to the parts everyone was super excited about…the PARTY!
Now, this crowd knew how to throw down in the best way. It started with Johnny making the best entrance into the reception with WWE style, a sweet first dance in front of all of their guests, followed by heartfelt toasts, and DELICIOUS desserts made by Johnny’s own sister!!!! Seriously, it may have been the best dessert table I’ve had the honor of eating every thing off of (and I did LOL).
When the dance floor opened up it was all over. I was living for the song selection by Active DJ and so was everyone else!!! It’s always so much more fun to photograph people on the dance floor who are living their best lives and there was no shortage of that energy here.
Taylor and Johnny, I hope you had the best day, honeymoon, and start to your married life together!!! Can’t wait to go downtown soon 🙂
