Ohhhhh, wow! I have been so excited for this weekend ever since Kristi reached out to me. It was my first time at the Carolina Barn in Spring Lake, NC and it did not disappointed! We were blessed with a beautiful overcast day…which usually I would prefer bright sun but the clouds allowed us to use different sides of the barn that normally wouldn’t be an option. I’m so thankful because we created some gorgeous images!

Kristi is one of those people that I felt instantly connected with. Our phone calls and texts were like two girls that have been friends forever. When we met for her bridals and she brought along her two sisters, Paige and Keri, I knew it was going to be a fun wedding day. They have such a big love for their little sister and were determined to make sure everything went perfectly on her big day…they were pretty successful too!!

If you’ll look closely when scrolling through this blog post, you’re going to see A LOT of portraits…THIS makes my heart so happy!!! Kristi and Corey decided on a first look for a few reasons, but mainly it was to calm their nerves before the ceremony and get as many portraits as they possibly could.

We did an intimate first look prior to the ceremony, captured a ton of portraits, then finished ALL of the bridal party photos so that after the ceremony we did a few family photos and had almost an HOUR of portrait time…which means we could be more relaxed, drink some sweet tea + eat their shrimp and grits hors d’oeuvres, and even finish up a little early for them to have some quiet time before their big party.

The sun was overcast and even all day except for right at the end of our portraits where it popped out for the most gorgeous sunset!!! They must have thought I was crazy when I started freaking out over it…but when you see the photos you’ll understand!!!

Kristi + Corey – thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your journey as husband and wife! It was a pleasure to capture your love and spend time with all of the people most important to you. Congratulations again!!!
