The last wedding of 2023!!!! And it did not disappoint at all. Courtney and Auston’s wedding day was full of all of the things that make me love photographing weddings – a fun bridal party, family that makes Weston and I feel like their own, and a couple that loves each other deeply.
Courtney and Auston chose to get married at Seven Paths Manor in Spring Hope and it was my first time at this venue. It is absolutely gorgeous with so much space in the main home and a ton of portrait locations. When I walked in in the morning, everyone was gathered in the kitchen eating and laughing together. I love spaces that feel like you’re all connected and keeps everyone close (but separated enough to not see each other until you’re ready!).
While detail photos are usually our quiet warm-up time during the day, it was fun to have Courtney and Auston’s moms nearby to chat with us before the day really kicked off – plus another huge shoutout to Kayla, Courtney’s maid of honor, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire day!!!
Courtney and Auston’s morning was fun and easy, with getting ready in their own separate spaces before photos with their friends. The groomsmen even had their own photo requests, which I absolutely love when they get into it!!
One of my favorite things about Courtney and Auston is their intentionality. Courtney thought of every possible detail to make their day not only special to them but also to those around them. Of course they were at the center of the day, with a private first look and letters to each other, but they also made sure to create moments for those who have poured into them and their relationship.
Our couples are always appreciative of the work we do for them but it really meant so much to me when Auston took time out of his dinner to come and personally thank Weston and I.
After the ceremony (complete with riding off in horse and carriage!), they danced the night away with all of their guests. Courtney’s mom and brother had me cracking up the entire time with their energy!
I am thankful for all of the couples I’ve had the privilege of serving this year and especially thankful to end the year on such a high note!
Congratulations Courtney and Auston!!!! (And Chip!!!!)
